Get Ready to Swim
I have been traveling quite a bit lately in the swim market. With school vacations and spring break upon us, we are in swim mode! So far the swim year seems to be a good one with the market talking lots about Tankini's. The Skirtini (this is a longer swim top with a skirted bottom - 2 separate pieces) is proving to be a winner for everyone this year. It is a great suit that allows you to be active on the beach, while looking great at the same time. We are seeing lots of "mixed media" tops....this is two different designs on the same top, so you might have something like stripes and dots mixed together! For colors there are lots of rich bright colors such as turq's and deep pinks, but a lot of the color is really pop contrast against black or brown grounds. One piece suits are also a mainstay....anything from the monokini to a skirted swimdress....the customer still loves them and they are always an important silhouette.

Hi everybody!!!

I am lookimg for a sexy bohemian styled or just really pretty colored swimsuit cover up. Any style, long, mid knee, shirt style or dress style in Size 1x or XXL. Has anyone seen any?
The other day I was at the Marshalls in Framingham and saw Polo dress cover-ups. They came in white, teal and navy blue but I'm not positive on exact sizes. The material was terrycloth... not super bohemian but definitely cute!
Coverups are a hot item this Spring! It really is all about the look that can take you right from the beach to dinner. The bohemian look that was mentioned is a huge hit at retail which is probably what is making it tough to find! We are seeing lots of great prints and fabrications this year that really expand on the more traditional terry cover-ups - which are always a staple!!! Color really varies with anything from the more traditional black and white to colors pulled right from sportswear in rich yellows and greens. It is a great year to update your swim coverups as the looks really are changing away from the days of the pareo and wrap!!!
Cover-ups are also a really awesome way to hide the unforgiving areas you don’t want to show off, such as hips, bellies and behinds.
