Just because my cats don't like to dress to the 9's doesn't mean we shouldn't share pics of those who do. Tammy

I am an animal lover and treat the ones who live with me like family. Because I always have a large dog I’ve never paid that much attention to the “doggie fashions” and the cats? They wouldn’t take to kindly to being dressed up anyway..lol. I was totally amazed at the selection of clothing for pets. Maybe fashion is totally going to the dogs? or at least for the dogs. Do you dress your pet? Post your pics over on photo albums so everyone can enjoy!! Tammy

Do mini-skirts ever go out of style? I love the look but they seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Better squat down to pick something up because bending over will leave nothing to the imagination. LOL This rule also applies to some of the short-shorts I’ve seen girls wearing. I’m wondering how micro mini the clothing will continue to get. Would I wear them if I was young enough and had the figure? I most certainly would!!! Well the minis I would wear….the micro mini versions I’d have to pass on. What’s your opinion?

This post could easily fit under the shopping pet peeve category. While shopping today I had the unfortunate luck to get in line with one of those angry bully shoppers. You all know the type….tapping toes, loud sighs, muttering under (or not so under) their breath. I do realize that everyone has the occasional “bad” day and to cut people slack because I don’t know what all is going on behind the scenes. Because I was actually having a really good day, I offered to let this shopper go ahead of me since I had quite a few items and he only had the one. He smiled, said thank you and proceeded through check out. The cashier even thanked me and gave me the senior citizen discount for letting him go first. LOL I will be the first to admit I am not always willing to “practice patience” in these types of situations. What I wondered is how others handle this type of scenario. Do you stay quiet? Blast them? Look at it as an opportunity to “practice your patience”? Let me know…I’d love to learn alternate ways of dealing with this. Tammy

Dog days of summer are here. I'm from Alabama where the humidity makes the heat that much more unbearable. Being as I was born and raised here one would think I'd be used to it by now. My daily outfit usually consists of shorts and a top. I certainly don't feel very fashionable. Honestly I feel more like the wicked witch who is "melting" every time I step outside. I did make a recent purchase of babydoll tops and they are quite comfortable, but I don't think they feel any cooler than my regular short sleeved tops. I'd love to get some feedback or ideas on how to stay cool for the remainder of the summer. Are there any certain fabrics I should steer clear of, or deliberately search out? What works for you? How are you beating the heat this year? Tammy

I thought this would be a good place to vent a big pet peeve. On my last shopping trip I had the unfortunate company of fellow shopper talking loudly on her cell phone. Don’t get me wrong, I believe cell phones are a wonderful piece of technology and have many good uses; however, chatting while shopping or driving are two MISuses that drive me up the wall. This fellow shopper continued her cell phone call right through the check-out process and never even acknowledged the clerk. Whatever happened to good old fashioned common courtesy… making eye contact…saying thank you or have a nice day? Okay I’ll get down off my soapbox now but everybody please feel free to vent your favorite pet peeves here. Take a load off so to speak. LOL

With today being a holiday it got me to thinking about the seasonal holiday clothing you see people wearing; whether it is tanks with fireworks/flags or later the sweaters with snowmen/turkeys. I was told Oprah had a show about adult women wearing these items and it being a big fashion no-no; that only kids should be sporting this type of clothing. I personally don’t see anything wrong it and believe people should show their personality and have fun, whatever the holiday may be. I love to get other points of view on this topic.

It’s time for me to update my swimsuit. Now I have to admit swimsuit shopping is one of my least favorite shopping trips. I can remember back in the day when I actually loved it and eagerly awaited the newest swimsuit styles and colors. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t feel old by any means; however gravity has done things to my figure. LOL Please tell me I’m not alone here. My search begins this week and I will update my progress or lack there of. Tammy I'd love to see your fashion finds:: http://whatsin.marshallsonline.com/category/Fashion-Finds/4

While I would like to consider myself petite, the truth is, I am just short and rounded. What I am wondering is there a rule of thumb about wearing Capri pants? I have seen other women my height and weight wear them and they look nice. I always feel so self conscious that I tend to lean toward full-length pants. Any thoughts on this subject would be appreciated. Tammy
