Problem During Registration

Nov 12, 2008 2:24 PM
I had a slight problem registering just before. Step 1 went fine, but Step 2 (where you are asked to click the pushpin of your favorite Marshall's store), just wouldn't work --it would send me back to the original Step 1 registration screen. I tried this in firefox and IE browers. Obviously, it still registered me, but thought you would like to know about this glitch I encountered.

I've had a problem, too. I can't even get as far as the push pins. It just keeps searching and searching...
The stores never show up.

Hi veramarie, could we get a few more details from you to help work on the problem? We need to know what kind of operating system and the type of browser you use. If you have any other details that could be helpful to the tech department in working on a solution to the problem, it would be very much appreciated.

In the meantime, you could try clearing your cache and see if that might help resolve the problem. If you're not sure how to do this, here are the steps for Internet Explorer and Firefox.

To clear your internet cache in Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. At the top of the screen, click on Tools.

3. In the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.

4. In the Internet Options window, find the Temporary Internet Files section. Click on Delete.

5. A Delete Browsing History window will appear. Click on the Delete Files button.

6. A verification screen will then come up. Click Yes to delete the files.

7. When this is finished, you can click Close, then click OK on the Internet Options window, this will return you to your web page.

To clear your internet cache in Firefox:

1. From the Firefox menu options, choose Tools and then Clear Private Data.

2. In the Clear Private Data window that appears, uncheck all checkboxes except for the Cache checkbox.

3. Click on the Clear Private Data Now button.

4. When the Clear Private Data window disappears, all of the files saved (cached) from your Internet browsing activities will have been removed.

When I go to My Alerts, and click on My Stores, the screen with the map shows up with my zip code already there, and it is already "loading" my stores, with that cirlce icon going round and round. It never stiops. I tried a different zip code, but same thing.
I have internet explorer. I deleted my history, cookies, and temporary files. Still the same problem, though.
I'm not having a problem searching or doing anything else on any other site.

Hi SueShe and veramarie :-D

I am sorry for any inconvenience you may be having during registration and setting up your local stores. I am having the same problem and I live in the Philadelphia area.

Could you please tell me what big cities are near your home? I have a feeling this is a zip code problem.

Thank you so much and thanks for your patience while we try to correct this problem!

Hi Roe,

My zip code is 11365. This in the borough of Queens in New York City, NY. New York is a BIG city and state, LOL, and I can't imagine why none of the stores in ANY New York City area cannot be accessed.

Thanks again

Hi SueShe :-D

Thank you so much for your information. I am sure this will help the technical department try to alleviate the problem with your stores not showing up in your profile. Hopefully the problem will be fixed shortly!

Have a GREAT day SueShe! :)
